Going through some of my images from the recent past, I came across these pictures of Downtown Columbus Ohio.
Reminiscing about what it was I wanted to capture, I loved how the presence of color and texture can created the most subtle of emotions.
I looked for the lineage, and the light and the multitude of colors and pushed myself to think and snap outside the box.
I really loved the soft hues of blues and greys of the buildings, yet there was still a hint of green. I especially liked how each of these colors reflected off the water to create the perfect balance.
I continued to search for the existence of bright colors, when I came across this shot.
I loved the multiple sets of windows inside the windows and how the blue sky reflected within each pane and the many shades of green against the blue reflections and white clouds for additional contrast.
Then there was this shot.
I really liked the texture of the red bricks. I wanted to capture the texture without necessarily making the image all about the archway.
As I continue to challenge myself, I will post my images.
And so the quest continues ….
Sharon, you get better and better each time you take pictures!! Beautiful!!!!! Hopefully next summer we can do family pics again…..
