01.18.2013 Favorite Photo Friday ™
01.18.2013 || Favorite Photo Friday ™ It was over a year ago that I had the opportunity to jump a plane and head west to visit St. Louis Missouri. It was a long weekend trip with friends for a photographic fun weekend. I had never been to STL and was looking forward to some great sight-seeing at the Gateway Arch Park and other sights around the city.
The weather was chillier than normal for that time of year, but the colors and the Arch remained spectacular nonetheless.
We had just exited the Metro and were walking towards the Arch when we came upon this view. So we pondered, and took pictures, and then we pondered over our pictures.
Well, after much pondering and picture-taking we continued on our journey in the early morning fog.
We were headed to the Arch; it was such a powerful structure that seem to climb endlessly into the sky. I love the way the sun is peaking through and gleaming on the massive steel art. The sun seems just a dab in comparison.
Favorite Photo Friday ™ is when I share an image that inspires me, that pushes the envelope, takes a look at a different perspective and just plain and simple, is one of my favorite photos. Thanks. ©SharontheMoments.com
I’ve never been to STL myself, but it’s on my list! LOVE your photo of the arch – great perspective 🙂
Thanks Angie. I will say trying to look up and the clouds were moving was giving me vertigo. Very neat to explore. ~Sharon
As always, my friend, these pictures are beautiful. I have only seen the arch taking off and landing out of the airport– I didn’t even get off the plane.
Thanks again Julia! can you tell I really enjoy picture taking? LOL
I love the photo of the arch from that perspective. The photo of the park is also beautiful, very serene.
Thanks! It was a wonderful time.
Love the arch photo, pretty!!
Thanks Lisa! It was a great weekend!
