01.04.2019 // This week’s Favorite Photo Friday ™ is about taking those steps into the unknown. Walking into the sunlight and being excited about what there is to see. It is about taking that leap and trusting everything will be OK.
Happy New Year! While at my age I can no longer party like its 1999, I dotry (and I mean try) to at least stay awake to watch the ball drop. It doesn’t help that I am curled up on the sofa with my son and our dog wearing my PJs drinking warm milk; but I do try!
OK, so even if I cannot stay awake to the tick of 12 o’clock, I do enjoy the New Year’s celebration. I like thinking of all my hopes & dreams and listing resolutions for the next 365 days. For me, the new year means a fresh start. A reset. A Mulligan. A do-over. An Ally – Ally in free. Plain and simple, the New Year for me is a chance to get it right and the opportunity to learn from my past.
I can say that some years seemed to have dragged on forever while other years slipped away in the blink of an eye. I have learned that as I get older, wishing for the future is wishing your life away. Live in the moment.
Like all year’s past, 2019 has great things lined up with hope for the future and what is to come.
