01.25.2013 | Favorite Photo Friday ™ My apologizes, I lost track of the time and therefore my Favorite Photo Friday is being posted today (Sunday).  Better late than never they say….

It is winter and for most of us living in the Midwest, we are surely most definitely experiencing winter with its snow and cold. But this winter day, the sun decided to peek through and well, I tried to take advantage by heading to one of our areas greatest gem, Sharon Woods Metro Park with my camera in hand.

Photographing anything in the snow can be tricky because the bright white snow can create hot spots in your image so you must adjust your camera settings accordingly.

I also thought about a new perspective.

I tried to set my sights on anything colorful that would play off the snow and provide some contrast.

I believe I did both.

Favorite Photo Friday ™ is when I share an image that inspires me, that pushes the envelope, takes a look at a different perspective and just plain and simple, is one of my favorite photos.  Thanks. ©SharontheMoments.com

    1. Thanks Julia. I usually have a plan or image inn my head that I want to shoot but have been drawing a blank. I usually like to look at Pinterest to get inspiration. Plus I registered for a local Gallery in July (picture must be taken at one of the Columbus Area Metro Parks). It has been so cold to venture out lately. So I have a double whammie.

  1. Beautiful! Reminds me of where I grew up. Here on the Gulf Coast we don’t get snow or all the colors of fall and winter. I miss the colors and the beauty but I don’t miss the cold.

  2. Wow girl – is that top photo for real???? It’s just beautiful…I so wished I had that to look at every day. Nope not in Texas. You do an awesome job capturing great sights for us to view!!
