Happy Thanksgiving! If you are like me, this day is not just about all delicious food and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; but it is also about Saying Thanks-Giving Back.
I think we all can attest that our lives are not perfect and we have all endured heartache and overcome challenges in our lifetime, some more than others. Some people may still be experiencing those challenges today.
A friend recently pointed out to me that people have their own stories; stories of where they are in life, stories of their struggles or hardships and it is not our place to make judgment on those untold stories.
Rather, I my hope is that today and everyday we can all be mindful of our untold stories and those stories of persons we have yet to meet.
Today, my story is celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I know that I am one of the lucky few where my parents are alive and after all these years, still married and committed to one another. Thinking of all they both have endured, good and otherwise, I know I have many things to be grateful. I’m sure both my Mom and my Dad have their share of stories I hope to hear.
So, whatever your story, make today a good day all about Saying Thanks-Giving Back!
