I recently spent a weekend at Cedar Point for a Conference on Blogging. You can read all about my experience in my blog post BloggyCon at Cedar Point.
The weekend was so much more than just a conference. It was about spending time with family, making new relationships, and keeping current friendships strong. It was about …
the thrills,
the excitement and about being in the best amusement park (and right here in Ohio) E.V.E.R.
Living in central Ohio, I have been to Cedar Point numerous times in my youth, but never knew all the great history in my own back yard.
Like the fact that Cedar Point is the second oldest operating amusement park in the U.S; opening in 1870.
Or that Helen Keller spoke to the Lions and challenged them to be Knights for the Blind.
Or the fact that the park has several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to all this wonderful history, Cedar Point is full of things to do no matter your age or your size or your tolerance for fear.
For those thrill junkies, there is the new Gatekeeper ride that opened in May 2013 and the Top Thrill Dragster to really get your heart rate up.
But for those folks looking for a little less thrill and a little more relaxing rides, there is the giant Ferris Wheel, and the CP &LE Railroad or the Antique Cars to name a few.
Some rides are so relaxing, even our Honda Bear could ride.
It was a wonderful weekend at The Point in Sandusky Ohio. And there is so much more to do is the area. Please sure to check out the Lake Erie Shores & Islands to see all the area has to offer year round.
Being that it was HalloWeekend in the park for our visit, there were lots of skeletons to greet us.
Poor guys, they were all bones!
And with everything, all good things must come to an end and the BloggyCon13 at Cedar Point did.
But not before this beautiful sunrise ….
One of my favorite places in the world!
It was so good to go back to visit after many years! Thanks for stopping by!
