Looking for a quick grab with so many choices you might have to get them all; then try Ben’s Soft Pretzels. Everything on the menu looked delicious, I decided to order a pretzel along with a Pizza Pocket. My eyes were certainly bigger than my stomach; which this meal could have easily been shared. Not really that hungry but don’t want to miss out on a Ben’s soft pretzel? Then consider the Take Home Kit.
If you worked up an appetite shopping in downtown Shipshewana, or your sweet tooth has you for a loop; then a stop at Shawna Rae’s Cafe & Bakery is a must. I love that everything Shawna Rae makes is from scratch; as she learned to bake from her mother growing up. They also offer delicious and creative sandwiches and salads if looking for a meal to go with your sweet treat.
Maybe you are looking for an more authentic Amish style cooking and meal, then Yoder’s Homestyle Cooking is sure to please. While Yoder’s is not a restaurant, it is an experience with a familiar family style setting in an Amish home.
To experience this dining, you must call ahead no matter the size of your party. Caroline can accommodate a small family or a larger group (up to 120 people) where she has served Amish meals for the past 25 years. The multi purpose dining room overlooks the lake.
