For Mother’s Day weekend, my Mom, my Aunt and myself enjoyed a casual dinner at the Olive Garden in Grove City.  I haven’t been to an Olive Garden in months, but I do remember I have not been disappointed. We were looking for a nice, quiet and affordable dining experience; not to mention good food!  We choose Olive Garden; it is moderately priced, has an arrange of appetizers ranging in price from about $10 and entree on average about $15.

Of course, I always love the fresh warm bread sticks and the unlimited salad! No matter what your choice of Italian food, there is something on the menu that is sure to please the entire family.  I decided on the dish from the Lighter Italian Fare menu; the Shrimp Scampi.  It was such a large portion, I wasn’t able to finish the entire meal and had left overs the following day for lunch.  I also love the fact the menu lists the caloric count for each dish.  This certainly helps me making a better choice for my health.

Another great thing about Olive Garden is that the wait staff are always very knowledgeable and helpful as well.  Being we were starting the weekend, we decided on one of their signature wine cocktails, a Berry Sangria; a blend of chilled wine, fresh fruit and a splash of fruit juices.  May I also suggest that if several adults will be having a glass, it is cost efficient to order the pitcher instead.

Our waitress was also helpful in explaining the (fairly new) table kiosk.  It was a pretty neat little set up.  You could order your appetizers, drinks and entrees.  In addition, for a flat rate of $1.99, you can get games on the kiosk for the kids.  What a great way to keep the entire family entertained while dining.  Once you have completed your meal, you can even pay your tab through the devises .  I must say, I was this was great.  Of course, if you prefer, you can still have as much human interaction as needed; for a smile and to answer all your questions.
