We too have an Elf (on the Shelf) that comes to live with us during the Holiday season. Our elf first visited us last year when my kiddo continued to ask Santa for his very own elf. Our home continues to be filled with the belief of Santa and all the magic of Christmas.
I understand the premise of the elf is to report back to Santa on whether the children are being naughty or nice, but our elf has her own agenda displaying her own naughty and nice behavior. And our elf, Chrissy is no different in her silly little antics while we sleep or are away.
This weekend was no exception. We awoke to Chrissy and our friends elf, Elvin planning and plotting.
Seems the elves think a North Pole Party is in order. They left behind notes indicating lunch will be served, houses for Gingerbread families will be erected, along with making a special reindeer food for Christmas Eve.
The following morning, we again awoke to more elf activity. Seems that the elves, Chrissy and Elvin had been busy watching Christmas movies and packaging gifts for the North Pole party for each kiddo. And appears that sometime through the night they were confused and fell fast asleep at the wrong house.
Yep! You guessed it. Chrissy was next door and Elvin was at our house watching The Polar Express Christmas movie.
The North Pole party is scheduled for Saturday afternoon with all the trimmings. Meanwhile, the gift left behind for the kiddos included a note detailing the day, a jar to hold the reindeer food, a gingerbread man tree ornament to always have a memory of the day, and the most exciting gift…. a Headlamp with LED Lights for looking for Santa.
Stay tuned…. Pictures of the North Pole party coming soon.
