This quilt was one of my very first quilts that I created. I was just learning about patterns, fabric quality and designs. I created the pattern and thought this would make a nice lap quilt for my room. Click here to read about that quilt journey.
Problem was, I never finished it. Not exactly sure why, maybe I lost interest, or maybe time just got away from me. Whatever the reason, it was fine time to work on all my UFOs (UnFinished Objects) in my sewing room; including this beauty. (I have half finished quilt tops and other crafts lying around my sewing room that seem to add to the cluster; I just need to get these wrapped up and completed). * I know I am not alone on this.
I decided to used a bed sheet for the backing as I prepared the quilt top and backing for the Quilters. The quilting pantograph is Forget me Knots and finished at 54″x76″. It is a little larger than a lap quilt but I love how it turned out and think it looks great on the end of my bed. You never forget your first.
I love the feeling of accomplishment every time I marked off another UFO off my to do list, not to mention is does wonders for cleaning the sewing room!
