Cedar Point's Castaway Bay |Sharon the Moments Blog

Congratulations to Amanda from West Salem!  Amanda is the winner of the Cedar Point Castaway Bay Day Passes.

Thank you everyone for entering!

The month of March has arrived, winter is hanging on here in the Midwest and Mother Nature is not playing nice!  So, to beat the chill and winter blues, we headed north to Sandusky, Ohio to visit Cedar Point’s indoor waterpark for a Tropical Paradise.

We were on a budget, with a time frame of just a weekend and we were looking for Tropical Paradise thus this landed us at Castaway Bay Resort.

Upon entering the waterpark, the boys were instantly ready for some dancing, some swimming and I was ready for some relaxation.

  • The sun was shining through the large ceiling sun roof
  • The music was inviting of a Caribbean party and
  • The water was calling out our names.

The boys tried their hand at the Cargo Crossing and then we decided to take a dip in the Castaway Bay Wave Pool.  Feeling adventurous, we headed to the Rendezvous Run next for a little inner tube fun.  I will say, we all enjoyed ourselves in this 38,000 square foot 82 degree tropical paradise.

We enjoyed the “Room, Waterpark and Breakfast Buffet Package” and now you can too at the special rate starting at $149!  To book your reservation, call now 419-627-2106 or visit online at castawaybay.com using the promo code  BLOG .

The Resort is open year round offering a great family friendly atmosphere with a tropical designation feel.  So whether you need a break from Old Man Winter, or looking for a fun, family friendly visit to the Lake Erie Shores & Islands, there is plenty to do with your family at Castaway Bay.

  1. My kids would love the wave pool as would I. The hot tub is also one of my favorite places to hang out!
